In celebration of Pretty Brown Girls Day 2017 and Women's History Month, I visited PBG Club #85 at Metacomet School in Bloomfield, CT. It was exciting to engage with 70 young girls to discuss and analyze the many layers of my main character Niyah Zuri. The end result was a discovery of themselves and that Niyah Zuri is a Pretty Brown Girl, just like all of them!
